Welcome to St. George's Church in Brockworth, Gloucestershire.

Whether you’re visiting the area, exploring faith, or just want a peaceful place to be - we're here to help you.

We like to think we're a people, and place, of peace and hope in the wonderful community of Brockworth.

We know life has its ups and downs, sometimes it's joyful, confusing, painful and uncertain - all in one day! But we also believe in a living God, and know that He just loves to get to know people like you.

So feel free to join us at any of our events or services, or if you have any questions just contact us.

We look forward to hearing from you or meeting you in person.

Covid Update:
5 September 2021

We’ve now had several weeks free of lockdown restrictions outside of church, and a slow easing within our buildings. How are you finding it?

If you have any concerns about the relaxing of Covid guidance in our worship gatherings, please do speak to Mike Smith (vicar), Linda Vogwell or Chris Sandys (churchwardens). We are keen to help.

We feel the time is right to relax things further from Sunday 12 September and here’s what we are planning:

Ventilation:

The porch and north doors may remain open during services to ensure good ventilation inside the church building.

Face coverings:

We ask that you remain considerate of others and continue to wear face coverings while moving around other people inside our buildings. These can be removed while you're seated. If you wish to keep a face covering on at all times, please feel free to do so.

Singing:

We’re happy for regular singing to return. If you wish to wear a face covering while singing, that is fine, but it’s not something we are requesting. However, we know there are concerns about singing and Covid, so please do let Mike know if you are anxious about this and we can happily create a reserved seating area for anyone wishing not to sing or be close to those who are.

Physical distancing:

We remain relaxed about sitting with friends in church. But please be considerate if you’re planning to sit near someone you don’t know very well, and check they’re happy with it.

Communion:

We will continue to serve and share communion as we have been doing.

We are really grateful for your patience and understanding as we find the right balance of personal safety and comfort in worship. Let us continue to be mindful and respectful of others who may be in a different place to us

Please visit our YouTube channel or Facebook page for our streamed and digital services.
